The vision of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (nyfca.org) 
is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. As the Albany Area Director, Amber Johns' goal is to see our community turn toward Jesus through the influential platform of sports. Amber ministers to coaches and their families by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches to disciple the next generation. 

The relationship between a coach and an athlete is a special one. Amber and her husband Gregg have spent most of their lives coaching athletes, so it’s with great passion they encourage other coaches to pursue the heart of their athletes before the victories with the hope that His name be made known through our region. 

The Johns family are long time members of Bethlehem Community Church. Amber and Gregg, along with their teenage sons Andrew and Austin, lead small groups at their home and provide a fun and safe space for young athletes to fellowship together.
